It all begins with an idea.

My grandpa once said, “Green Butterfly…work hard and have the strength to fight all the battles you are going to face.”

Green Butterfly was my nickname.  It represents flying, cherishing life, and striving to do better things.  Andrew Garfield once said, “This is all the unexpressed love, the grief that will remain with us until we pass – because we never get enough time with each other, no matter if someone lives until 60, 15 or 99.” Its true.  Grief is something that never fully goes away.  But it’s a beautiful emotion.  Does the pain ever completely disappear? To be honest – no.  But it does get easier as time goes on? Yes, it does and in that space between pain and peace, I continue to grow.

Like a Green Butterfly…I Fly, I Fall and I Rise Again.

I am Sia Kaur and this is my story. Since the beginning I have always been struggling to make a mark for myself.  I faced a lot when I was younger…bullying, extreme academic challenges, social life issues and most importantly feeling underestimated even by those closest to me.  Writing became my therapy.  It was the only way for me to say “I mattered and I a m worthy.”  Through every hard challenging moment of isolation, I kept going.

This is my truth. A story of resilience, growth, and finally hearing my voice.  Now it is time for me to share my voice with you through the Green Butterfly Effect.

I look forward to having you on this journey with me as we learn how to navigate through life.  Thank you Green Butterfly.
